Tennis

Tennis is a racket sport played either individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Players use a stringed racket to strike a lightweight ball over a net into the opponent’s court. The objective is to score points by successfully hitting the ball in such a way that the opponent is unable to return it within the boundaries of the court. The game is typically played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard courts. Points are earned in a sequential scoring system of love, fifteen, thirty, forty, and game, with players competing to win sets and ultimately match victories. Tennis is governed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is an Olympic sport. The sport requires agility, strategy, and precision, making it both physically and mentally demanding.
