Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport that involves two teams, typically consisting of six players each, who are separated by a net. The objective of the game is to score points by sending a ball over the net and landing it in the opposing team’s court. Players can use any part of their body to hit the ball, but the most common techniques involve using the hands and arms. A rally is initiated by a serve, where one team hits the ball to the other, and play continues until the ball touches the ground, goes out of bounds, or is not returned properly. Each team is allowed a maximum of three touches to return the ball to the opponent’s side. Volleyball is played on various surfaces, including indoor courts and outdoor beaches, and is governed by specific rules regarding scoring, rotations, and player positions. The game emphasizes skills such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and digging, and can be played both recreationally and competitively. Volleyball is also an Olympic sport, showcasing international competition at high levels.
